Commercial Pilot Program
Introduction

A commercial license permits you to fly for hire in addition to the privileges of a private pilot license. The maneuvers taught for this license are more advanced than for a Private Pilot, and the FAA test standards are higher as well. To practically attain a commercial license, you should attain or already have a private pilot license for helicopters. This is important to meet the FAA requirement of 100 hours of “Pilot in command” flight time as a Private Pilot, at least 35 of which must be in helicopters.

Course Approximate Costs*

Requires completion of the private pilot program and assumes completion instrument pilot program. If no prior completion of the instrument pilot program, add 40 hours flight time.
