Private Pilot Program
Introduction

​A private pilot helicopter rating allows you to fly for recreational or for personal purposes, but you cannot fly for hire. Typically those pursuing a private helicopter rating are doing so as the first step to flying helicopters professionally or intend to own or lease a helicopter.

Our private pilot program consists of 35 hours of ground training and the 40 hours of flight time required to become licensed pilot. You’ll learn all the aspects of flight that you need to be a safe private pilot, meet the FAA requirements and pass the FAA examinations.
